Football is fine margins... 11:00 - Aug 14 with 406 viewsunstableblue

... there were some lucky last ditch blocks on Saturday from Sunderland that kept Town from a well deserved 2 to 3 goal cushion at half time Saturday. They would undoubtedly have also given Norwood his first goal, potentially starting a streak. Confidence builds in the team - especially with a raucous celebration from the home fans at the final whistle.

We go again against Peterborough with them struggling to kick start the season.

With some real backing and a bit of luck we may get the first goal Saturday, perhaps from Norwood, and Peterbrough wilt, and it’s 3 points and we go into Tuesday night under the lights against AFC absolutely flying.

But an error on Saturday or a bad refereeing decision and Peterbrough’s season turns!!! And fate for Town turns.

Football is such fine margins. Wins build much needed confidence and momentum, which our squad quality deserves.

1 or 2 signings in the next 48hrs might give that little squad boost to push us on, and you can’t underestimate the boost the 4000 travelling blues will bring.

It certainly seems Lambert is changing his system and players to suit the opposition this term.
Downes said as much that against Sunderland we played to hurt their weaknesses, which was a more aerial and direct style. Pressuring the full backs down the wide areas. It should have worked. Hopefully another plan is set for Peterborough based the goals shipped at home Fleetwood and away to Oxford.

A lot of people state it doesn’t matter if town don’t get going till the Autumn, following the ‘tough’ start... I really think this club is on the margins and it needs early confidence and momentum and goals coming from the strikers.

Poll: How many points will Town get from 5 (Wat, Boro, Hull, Cov, Hudd)?
