So Houghton and Sunderland South are usually the first constituency to declare (or within the first 2) and usually you can’t read anything into the overall result based on this but this time it’s quite an interesting one given the various demographics and stats:
Electorial Calculus has Labour winning but with a reduced share of the vote (45%) and Tories increasing their share (33%). They predict the Lib Dems will have an increase from 2% to 8% which doesn’t seem very logical given the leave position.
