I'm not sure that is the whole story to be honest, it's likely they may be given more appropriate temporary accommodation elsewhere. My friend is one of the lead people with regards to providing shelter for the homeless in Ipswich. On many occasions they refuse help but at the moment they are directed to take up the offer and last night he was dealing with this.

I admit though to not reading all that report because I can't be arsed but are these squats a health hazard for the squatters at this present time?

Mind you, if you are suggesting that the council are using the crisis to smash the squat then there is probably something in this.

Many squats are a health hazard at the best of times....this one would seem not to be.
This eviction was enforced by a private security firm but I think somewhere was already lined up as a new venue. DIY culture at its finest.
