Thought I'd do a League One team of the season based on what I've seen myself mixed in with a couple who couldn't be left out.
GK: Marko Marosi - Coventry
RB: Kane Vincent-Young - Ipswich - In a short time, I haven't seen a better RB
CB: Frankie Kent - Peterborough
CB: Michael Ihiekwe - Rotherham
LB: Joe Jacobson - Wycombe
RM: James Henry (Oxford) or Liam Feeney (Blackpool) - Henry ability, Feeney stats
CM: Liam Walsh (Coventry) or Marcus Browne (Oxford)
CM: Dan Barlaser - Rotherham - dictated the game when we played them away
LM: Ronan Curtis - Portsmouth
ST: Ivan Toney - Peterborough
ST: Siri Dembele - Peterborough
Marcus Browne for me is the best player in the league that I've seen - but he's been here half a season whereas Walsh has done it consistently all season.

Can't have KVY in there based on about 10 games (if that). Not sure on Dembele, not over the whole season. To be honest the football is largely so poor at this level that aside from Ivan Toney I can't really remember anyone we've played against. |  |

One I missed was Jamie Allen from Coventry too. He was a good player on a few occasions we played Coventry. | |

With KVY, it's from what I've seen/one I couldn't really leave out. I haven't seen a better RB. The next best was the lad from Tranmere who I thought played well. Trouble is, I'm doing a view based on seeing a player once or twice (unless it's Coventry or Lincoln). KVY I've seen every appearance he made.
Dembele is the brightest player I've seen skill wise this season. He's a Brentford type player. | |
