My first game of the season... 08:34 - Nov 8 with 324 viewsPendejo

Told the family early on I was "going to football" today, and laid out my plans BBC iPlayer at 15:00.

So, wife says we have just enough time to get a few hours of volunteering in before game. In addition to working with Latino groups we are helping a young chap called Lawrence out at a Charity Hub, mainly opening donation bags, sorting the stuff inside then putting bit into the relevant zone (kids clothes, electricals, cds etc)

Got home @ 15:00 kids are watching a film on Netflix, so patiently wait a further 20 mins to end of film, then watch game from the start...

Deja vue

Last game watched on tv was Accrington away last season, arrived late and we were already 2 down. Obvs worked this one out eventually as watched from start.

What a horribly embarrassing first half. I know there were nine changes but they looked like a team of strangers. Didn't they train in that formation, line up?

No visible leadership in the pitch, no attacking threat. Wasn't going to watch 2nd half. Then, we scored.

All of a sudden 2nd half look cohesive. Norwood introduced and he scores... Did that count as a one in one?

A little later and all Donacien had to do was pass it into Norwood's path and we'd be 3-2 up.

Then it all falls apart again.

Ref had a couple of shockers, but they seemed relatively evenly spread and Pompey were better than us overall.

I have seen that Twitter post this morning -since 2005 Portsmouth have won as many FA Cup games at PR as we have... Oh for the years we took FA Cup seriously.

Nice to have Norwood back, let's hope we can crack on now... But I don't have much faith in the club's leadership.
