Really liked listening to Cooks instruction throughout which seemed encouraging and the correct actions for the players to be taking. An overload of information though? And too controlling?
Certainly my concern today was that unlike Fleetwood Pompey weren’t that good or fired up, and I think to concede two against them, albeit one from a good corner, is concerning.
I didn’t think it was a dire performances, I just don’t the full backs or central midfield got into the game enough, and didn’t dominate proceedings. Bishop looks jaded.
Combine with edwards and judge being a bit hit and miss; then I would have taken a draw.
I did Dobra brought something , but we couldn’t get him on the ball. KVY was just great to be back and he showed a couple of moments of class... and got stuck in, but too little too late
I believe in Cook, I think he now understands the Ipswich disease which is just not turning up for the majority of game, of not providing sufficient energy and belief.
A week on the training pitch will be a god send for Cook - but Wigan not the best tie for me to get the confidence and rhythm going. |  |
