This week in Australia:

- a human rights lawyer is taking the government to court for refusing to let Australians leave Australia to visit terminally ill parents

- Australians in India have been told they will be jailed if they try to get back to Australia via a different hub

- reports that there are over 150 Australian children stranded in India with grandparents, being refused travel back to their parents in Australia

We’ve just had a full lockdown in Perth because two positive cases were discovered in the community.

Plus the vaccine program is still barely off the ground, with under-50s only getting the Pfizer vaccine - of which there’s virtually none in the country and no timeframes for anymore. My parents are desperate to get down here for a visit, but I’d be amazed if they’re allowed in within 12 months.
