Openly suggesting to fans that he disagrees with Ashton's account as to why he (Diedhiou) is leaving Bristol City (Twitter).

Ashton reportedly said he'd offered him a significant contract offer and Diedhiou replied 'that's what HE said'.

So can't imagine he'd be keen to sign here with Ashton if he's openly stating he wanted to stay at Bristol City and that he feels Ashton has misrepresented what he considers to be the actual facts.

We may never have been in the running anyway, but no doubt we will be linked with every out of contract Robins player at some stage this summer.
