I've always wondered about dropping what seems like relatively small amounts of water on and around bushfires. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's just a public relations exercise?

'Experts say that climate change is expected to increase the frequency of extreme weather events, such as heatwaves. But linking any single event to global warming is complicated.'

At what point do we take the (scientifically correct, moron-inspiring) caveat out of these stories, and just say "Wake up humanity, this is what YOU HAVE DONE"?
