We were so comfortable for the first hour or so. Edwards was a cut above and if he keeps playing like that we have a player on our hands that is a match winner and will be worth a few quid.
The Bonne miss was a stinker and if he scores that, we go on and win by 3 or 4. Seems to be the story of the opening 3 games - goals change games and moments change games. Bar a slip from Woolfy, an uncharacteristic Fraser pen miss and a Bonne sitter we would probably have 9 points. But bar a last minute equaliser vs Morecambe we would have 0 points. Fine margins and depends what outlook you want to take.
I think a few people have received a bit of a reality check. We are not going to p!ss this division regardless of the array of talent we've bought in. I am still pretty confident it will click into place soon and once we get a head of steam we will be difficult to beat but we need to do the basics better and need to start falling on the right side of the key moments in games. There's so much access to instant information nowadays that it is easy for opinions to polarise quickly, from "we are going to walk it", to "it's not changing fast enough, same old Ipswich" etc.
Easier to avoid constantly checking on Town news (and media in general), slow life down and enjoy the ride. |  |
