The frustrating thing so far is that you look at the players we have signed, and with a few exceptions they look like very good players for this level. Our players at full back and winger today were seriously tasty. Bonne has clearly got pedigree and showing it, the midfield 2 have some talent if looking a bit inconsistent at the mo. I thought Piggott looked a bit more comfortable in the lone forward role today too.
And yet we seem some way short of that individual ability as a whole.
Obviously we won't be fully up to speed yet, but player for player we were miles better than Wimbledon today, and at the end of the day we've got a draw that only slightly flatters Wimbledon. |  |
