I love the The Beautiful South inspired song, and I just had a look at our European record.
Obviously I knew we had never lost at home, but what I didn't realise is that we have only conceded 13 goals at home in 31 games (0.42/game), and only conceded more than one once! (two against Twente who we later took Mühren and Thijssen from to balance things up.)
This includes games against the likes of Milan, Real, Lazio, Feyenoord, Barca (twice), St Etienne, Cologne, Roma and Inter.
That's a truly staggering record isn't it? I'm sure most on here are familiar with most of that but, bloody hell, it bears repeating.
I hope I not being too negative when I say that I'm nervous of this exalted status coming under threat in the 2024/25 season. |  |
