Where they discuss the liklihood of Johnson coming here , big buddies with Ashton apparently , but also some comments about what happened when they recruited new managers while Ashton was there.
Seems the term rigorous search for the right candidate isn’t a new one , and that one time after said search they ended up with Holden who was way out of his depth .
Searches and appointment took a while there and it’s obviously common for him to sack a manager without having a replacement ready.
Will be interesting to see if that’s how it plays out here.
Also many comments about Ashton using the time to be centre of attention .
They have also picked up on some comments from the press in his time here , about players having to be right for him to play as well as for Cook.
