After listening to the excellent KOA podcast interview with MA and KMc, it got me thinking how much of a coup it probably is for us to get a coach of his calibre in at League One level. MA was swooning over him like a love struck teenager. I really hope he stays for many seasons here and gets us up to the top division and makes us a force again. I do worry that if he continues to show the intelligence and ability that he has so far, bigger, higher up clubs might come circling already.

I think McKenna would need to get some demonstrable success under his belt before that. At least promotion and riding high in the Championship.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

If he did get poached that would mean we were doing exceptionally well.

I don't think he would leave a promotion push if we were on one next season, and if we get promoted there aren't many Champ clubs with a better backing.

We are safe for some time yet.

I think he's destined for bigger things. Maybe , even, back at Spurs or UTD at some point in the future.... I was reassured to hear that Ashton has his eye on many, other, up and coming coaches. As part of his job... I'd say KM was planning on being here a while, though. Given, what was said about his input in transforming/up dating the facilities and general structure of the playing and training side of things..... There won't be many jobs out there, where he gets the chance to build something completely from scratch... I'm hoping, over time, he see's this project as "his baby".. And, as such, it might be more difficult for him to just leave, unless a really big job came up... He will have to achieve some success here , though, you would of thought. Before the bigger vultures start circling, imo...
