Centre-forwards seem likely to be the hot topic for transfer chatter this summer. There is a names that has caught my eye this season (I have watched a lot of lower league football footage during commutes) One of the most exciting teams in L2 this year has been Forest Green Rovers, currently 1st in L2 and looking unlikely to budge. They have scored a total of 68 team goals this year whilst conceding only 36. You could put a bunch of their players on a fantasy scouting list, but the one who sticks out for me is Matty Stevens. Age 24, Stevens is 5'11 with his second 20+ goal season this year. His first was while on loan to Kettering and he looked on course to surpass 25 this year if not for an ACL injury. He has a 33% goal conversion and 65% shot accuracy so far. Stevens is a great age for a striker and may be hard to prise away from FGR who look certain to go toe-to-toe with town next season. Cons: - Was born in Frimley - Recently extend terms, so might cost a few bob - Recently picked up an ACL injury. [Post edited 6 Apr 2022 15:26]
