Another cancellation as import checks are put off for the fourth time - after being put back to 1st July

Meaning the EU is free to send its goods to the UK without checks, but the UK goods are held up in ever growing queues at UK ports, as they try to leave. So with 5 years to prepare. the UK cannot control its own borders !
"The chief executive of the Cold Chain Federation, Shane Brennan, said earlier this month that the checks would be a “nightmare” for small businesses, warning of a potential “collapse” in their trade if they go ahead in the summer.
Mr Brennan said the Brexit red tape already imposed on small businesses trying to export has already led to a “dramatic decline in the amount of goods actually trying to leave the country”.

As witnessed this week with the closure of Goodlife Foods (Brexiteer MP)and their relocation to Europe 6th May. As it is the loss of 100 jobs it makes the news. Whereas the hundreds of smaller concerns that are shutting up shop, or moving to the EU go unrecorded.
And still normal folk wait for something from brexit that can counter the daily loss of trade, closing of factories and tens of thousands of jobs remaining unfilled. Meanwhile, fishing boats lie tied up in ports, lorries idle on the M20 and crops rot in the fields, as the UK slowly and steadily closes down.
