I don’t know enough about lower league strikers to pick out a decent alternative to Hirst, but in my mind we need someone in the mould of a Marcus Stewart or Kevin Philips. A smaller, nimble, intelligent pure goal scorer. Yes this is a hard thing to find, but I wonder if we might already have a similar player already here. Chaplin has played as a striker before and seems to have the attributes that might make him a success for us up front. |  | | |
