We could really put the squeeze on teams now 11:39 - Sep 2 with 380 views

Was thinking about who would come in to replace Aluko and of course Chaplin is the starter anyway.

But imagine the pressure we could put on the opposition (or just to snuff out a fight back) if we had Morsy, Ball as CMs and Camara and Harkness as the players ahead? With the wingbacks providing the width and pushing onto the opposition too?

With that strength, energy and ankle-biting pressure, I can’t imagine many sides getting on top in the middle or trying to play through us with any success.

Increasingly we look like a team that can blow other sides away (or at least come out on top) even if we don’t have the best of days with the ball or the opposition is purely focused on stopping us playing. And that’s what an automatic promotion side looks like – a team that wins whether it’s pretty or ugly.

Feels great to have all that in our locker with a long and hopefully successful season ahead.
