I remember back in the 80s we always used to come out before kick off and have churchmans behind us. When did this change as I can't remember it happening. Would it not make sense to go back to this and attack the North first half? Bearing in mind we did that in our most successful era.
Also when did we start having actual pitch warm ups? We never did in the early 80s. Nobody did as I remember right.

When did we move our warm up end? on 17:22 - Oct 16 with 446 views
At a rough estimate, probably the first year of the all-seater and Prem in 92. I make you right that we would attack towards North in the first half much more in the 80s and early 90s.
I think teams like to kick towards their more vociferous fans in the second half as it gives them that spur/edge and obviously back in the day, away fans shared the North with our lot.
There's an argument to suggest we maybe need that encouragment more in the first half at the moment.
