We might laugh at the Russians, but 21:08 - Nov 27 with 658 viewsHARRY10

................it seems as if we are heading the same way as far as corruption goes

(This is an excellent bit of reporting and shows the endemic corruption and theft in the Russian military forces. Well worth 20 mins of your time.)

It is near the end of the above that resinates with the UK. A great uncle was stationed for a while on the coast in North Norfolk, and spoke about the pill boxes there.

"They would not have stood up to anything had they been attacked. But the thought was if they were attacked then who would then be prosecuting local contractors ?"

PPE stocks allowed to fall to a level where they would not cope with any pandemic (see Cygnus exercise). The subsequent 'panic' saw all manner of corrupt Tories costing the country hundreds of millions selling the NHS unfit PPE. Shades of Harry Lime (The Third Man) selling watered down penicillin.

This is a country (UK) where the PM took numerous payments from 'friends' (conduit) of Putin. The same PM who defended Putins annexation of Crimea and even made the son of a former KGB colonel a lord, so able to take part in the law making process.

What was that money for ? What did Putin expect in return ? Tory MPs willing to listen on how to line their pockets ? In the 3 years as PM, we have seen a succession of Tory MPs mired in accusations of corruption. The latest being Andrew Bridgen.

A spiv economy, no less
