Of course we save those kinds of results for me. Landed at Heathrow at 8am after the overnight flight, quick shower and went to the ground. We paid about 140 for hospitality which considering the lack of pubs and transport was worth it for easy access to unlimited Guinness.
Good on Wycombe for allowing us in there, even if not everyone outside was happy about it during the game.
Thought we were miles better but couldn't make it count. The defending for their goal was shambolic. Chaplin effort was really tame after a good move, Jackson touch bad on his chance and final end product was rubbish for all the ball we had. They blocked fairly well and defended corners decently but other than that not a lot to say about them. Shouldn't be struggling to beat these kind of teams. It's annoying because we should be 10 points clear with the games we've dominated and not got a result. Burns seemed to have declined from what I occasionally see on iFollow.
Atmosphere from home fans was like Woodbridge Town and although our support is impressive in number, we sounded quiet from where we were. With 2,600 and no noise from the home support, I'd have thought we'd have been a lot louder rather than just hoping for the team to score.
Highlight of the day/evening. Watching Norwich lose in the White Hart in Chalfont and a decent curry in Gerrards Cross.
