Today is International Migrants Day. It's also the same day as the World Cup final. It's a huge insult to migrants who’ve lost their lives or freedom building football stadiums in Qatar.
Despite your call for justice, along with thousands of others, FIFA has refused to commit to compensating abused workers and the families of those who’ve been killed.
But we’re not giving up. While the world’s attention is on the cup final today, we want to send a clear message to FIFA to do the right thing and urgently act now.
Please share our petition with friends and family to raise awareness on this important day and get others to join the fight in holding FIFA to account.
FIFA expects to make over $7 billion from the tournament. Yet it won’t commit to compensating abused migrant workers. It’s a disgrace! Take action now.
Throughout the years, our people-powered movement has won many battles against injustice, such as freeing over 3,000 children trafficked to be used as camel jockeys in the United Arab Emirates, and abolishing the practice in the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait.
And together we can do it again by getting compensation for migrant workers. Please share the petition today and make our demand for justice impossible to ignore.
