Would it be fair to say the Hirst transfer will rumble on the whole summer due to waiting for new manager to come in and see if in his plans ie assess over a pre season bedore a decision is made , i see they want Yates who would we rather have?

Think it could drag on.. I expect Leicester have got a cr8p load of squad tidying to do. And it will most likely depend on wether any decent offers come in for their existing first team strikers. Deals that would be in the tens of millions, will probably take centre stage at Leicester...
Having said that, KM showing commitment to the project, with his own new deal. Could be something that nudges someone like Hirst, who obviously enjoyed playing under KM last season, and knows he's valued by us, a bit closer to just getting the hell out of there and getting some kind of " lift off" to his own career?..
I liked Hirst. But let's make no bones about it. Championship is a step up from L1. I think if we sign him, it will be as much to do with, how much KM thinks he can improve, rather than , soley, what he can offer right now...Just my op'.
Personally, rather have Hirst than Yates. Just because he's already integrated, scored a couple of iconic goals already so won't have the pressure of winning the supporters over from the off. Which can take it's toll on a striker, mentally, if they don't hit the ground running.
