Ethnic cleansing of Armenians? on 14:18 - Sep 30 with 711 views | thatbdude | I honestly don't know why it's hardly mentioned in the news. It's a horrific time to be Armenian and my sympathy goes towards them. Seriously something needs to be done and it needs to be addressed because its more improtant then a connection with Russia

Ethnic cleansing of Armenians? on 15:39 - Sep 30 with 632 views | Chondzoresk | There was an Armenian genocide during the 1900s into the First World War. About a million were eradicated by Islamic and Ottoman backed fighters. I have an interest in this field as I collect Christian and Islamic Caucasian Rugs, see avatar. It’s always been a serious flashpoint for issues.

It's been one of the main stories on the BBC News website for the last few days (and is currently the main story). It's one of those depressing situations where there was an obvious reasonable solution (allow the Nagorno Karabakh oblast to become part of Armenia or independent), but antiquated attitudes towards land and power meant that instead of allowing the area any form of self-determination, the situation deteriorated into a series of wars, tens of thousands of people being killed and over a million people being displaced, all for a small area where fewer than 200,000 people lived.
