We’re currently 6 points clear of in-form Hull… making that 9 and pushing the top of the table would be very welcome. And I’m expecting the players will give a lot more energy, and dynamism, than seen today. Especially with Morsy back and chomping at the bit. Evans just didn’t drive us forward today, and I wonder if McKenna didn’t regret playing Luongo and Taylor from the start. Luongo seemed to prefer it when Taylor came on. Moore did a bit of a number on us today with the packing of the lines - BUT - today was about us not fully turning up, not Huddersfield being good. Although that is the best they’ve played all season by all accounts. We still had 60%+ possession. Hull will be a different kettle of fish and will come at us. Which we may prefer. And I think we’ll back to our best. The performance today was inevitable - no one can keep up the levels we’ve been achieving. I’m very impressed By Hutchison, not his conditions, not his ref (stonewall pen) and being tougher up and booed. But he kept going. This boy will go far. | |
