Yeah but Israel has a right to defend itself. Although the strange thing is that they failed to do exactly that when they were actually under attack. One of the World's most advanced intelligence units / border controls and yet they seemingly fell asleep at the wheel for hours while Hamas carried out their attacks. So many questions need to be answered by the Israeli Government but I'm not sure anybody has the balls to ask them.

I think this point is going to run. Yes, Israel has a RIGHT to defend itself. The Israel government also has a RESPONSIBILITY to defend its citizens. If the stories of the polls I've read are true (trust nothing at first sight ...) then Netanyahu is in big trouble. The Israeli people need to know why they were not properly defended from these slaughtering thugs. [Edit for typo] [Post edited 14 Oct 2023 15:16]

Posted as much the other day. That Israeli-Gaza fortified border suffered 27 breaches as hundreds of Hamas terrorists flooded in. How did Mossad have no idea this was imminent? For this level of Co-ordination to happen it needs a lot of planning and a lot of people to mobilise and stay quiet. So we can assume that Mossad failed for months on end to detect this yet, in the space of 6 days Hamas leaders Ali Qadi, a Hamas commander, and Murad Abu Murad, a senior member of the group's armed wing have been sought out and killed. So they identify them as the perpetrators, seek them out and kill them in days but they can’t detect any suspicious activity by them in the weeks leading up to the tragedy? Mossad’s role is to prevent, not to react and given their close relationship with Saudi intelligence services and the CIA, at best it’s a collective and systemic failure; at worse it’s something far sinister.
