Privately available Covid jabs 17:15 - Feb 2 with 651 viewsDJR

This is good news personally for someone like me who misses out by a year on a free Covid jab.

But the following comment in the article is true.

“However, this new development is not ideal. The fact that the jabs cost £45 excludes a lot of people, particularly those on low incomes, who won’t be able to afford it.”

Maybe it's a test run for the next pandemic.

Sounds like more scrimping by the government which ultimately costs more. Surely the hit to the NHS for people becoming ill, and the cost to the economy of people being off work is going to be more than 45 quid per person (and you’d think with the purchasing power of the NHS they could source the jabs for much less).

There are loads of things they could do to take pressure off the NHS but that would involve sharing some of the wealth so that's off the table.

Truly impaired.
