D block away supporters 09:17 - Jun 6 with 1534 viewstuxcedo

With D block now being occupied by away fans you would presume they will be standing during the match. Does this mean town fans in C block beside them won’t be able to see unless they also stand?

It’s a good point.

Obviously safe standing is being trialled in Block A for home fans, and we know away. Not sure it’s all 3 away blocks - but they will all stand anyway as you say.

There will be an aisle and netting segregation and maybe a low fence. But that will only allow the first few home rows to get an uninhibited view.

The whole Cobbold Upper dynamic going change… the thermos and tartan rug era is over.

I think there will be positives and I think the away fans will start to hear Block A more clearly. And I think B and C will naturally become more raucous. I do think a lot of Cobbold D and C fans and a certain disposition will be heading to the Churchmans upper… where frankly the seat space and gantries are miles better.

One key problem for him and away fans in the Cobbold is the gantry and catering… when the upper tier is all solid out which has been and will be all the time… it’s horrible and rammed and hard to get served and get it the loos.

But on the bright side; hoping the atmosphere will improve as a result - which can only be a good thing, blue army.

Ashton said the away section and block A would be rail seats. Surely the entire upper tier will become rail seats.

Wasn't C block behind D block anyway? Half of C and half of E behind D block? I assume ST holders in C block were going to be moved too or is this not the case?

Poll: If selling Jackson meant getting in a wide man, would you be happy with Garbutt?

Yes with D block gone it will be a straight line and not a 'notched' irregular allocation. Given that they need to offer even more for a cup game. I can only see the whole upper tier becoming rail seating.

C block is both behind and to the side of D block.
