Regarding the photo of the saltire in the sky, when my Scottish dad died, I immediately noticed saltires in the sky caused by planes, something I'd never really noticed before. It was the autumn, and I think they are common at the time of the year when there are clear skies and the right atmospheric conditions, but I certainly felt they were a kind of sign or tribute.
