Regarding the photo of the saltire in the sky, when my Scottish dad died, I immediately noticed saltires in the sky caused by planes, something I'd never really noticed before.

It was the autumn, and I think they are common at the time of the year when there are clear skies and the right atmospheric conditions, but I certainly felt they were a kind of sign or tribute.

I had the chance to do that over various mountain ranges and glaciers - twice. But got food poisoning and the the sh*ts the night before both times. It must be the best fairground ride ever half hanging out of a helicopter on your straps. I've been in a couple of army transporters sat around a fuggin great big hole in the floor and no belts whatsoever. That was a bit nervy, but also very tempting to lean over to get a better view... Spoiler - I didn't fall out and kill myself.
