I know it is always easier to display a good attitude when things are going well, though I think we've something special at town that goes beyond that.
Jackson's farewells shed light on what a fight upstanding chap he is and a credit to Ipswich Town despite going through the dark times with us having been drafted in to a level he wasn't ready for at the time.
Then I got poking around on social media and stumbled upon Omari's twitter. Every tweet that lad makes is positive, thankful and seemingly genuine. He's living the life but also very humble. Not to mention his football intelligence is off the charts for someone at 20 years of age.
I really think we've struck gold with a good crop of human beings in the town squad, not just good footballers. It will be interesting to see how this group responds when things are not always covered in wins - but I think we'll be alright.
I think as a deliberate policy we have accumulated intelligent players. It is what enables our system to work, but has the side effect of a maturity and thoughtfulness beyond what we normally expect from footballers*.
* Perhaps unjustifiably, but salacious tabloid reports of player antics do not help.
