I know someone recently brought this up but fining these water companies is pointless. Apparently they have by the regulator been allowed to raise bills by £94 over the next few years. Thames water are apparently being fined £104 million. All this will do is mean we get worse service for paying more money. Surely their task is to provide drinkable water and remove unwanted items in the sewage and then not allow untreated sewage into rivers and seas and prevent leaks. A basic requirement. Why not make the likes of Thames spend that money on improvements. You can bet your bottom dollar the board members and shareholders won't suffer it will be bill payers.
