A theme of the new managers being very possession based. Slot, Martin and Maresca especially. I think McKenna has more flexibility in systems and style. Maresca does seem one dimensional.
Slot impresses me, plays the same system as Mckenna. He’s very possession based with playing out the back, ‘double pivot’ in midfield. And it seems to be working in pre-season. But it is a big change for their players from Klopp, so hopefully they will still be settling when they come to Portman Road?!
Liverpool are very late in doing ANY signings… you think we’re impatient! Check the Liverpool fans. BUT he has a rich squad, and is adamant two big signings are inbound. [Post edited 7 Aug 2024 9:31]
