There is a lot of negatives of course, not least the growing absentees, but we are capable of getting on a run.

I feel that, too.

Chaplin brings the best out of the other attackers as the Number 10.

Cajuste played well- he has an exceptional calmness about him.

Szmodics pressed well and took his goal nicely.

Davis put in a classic Davis assist.

Hirst opened his Premier League goal scoring account.

Phillips put in two last-gasp goal saving interventions.

Jack Clarke learned that if you fall over forwards, the ref gives the foul, whereas whenever one of our players was pulled back, he doesn't, and adapted quickly.

Delap added another £25 million to his price tag, too!

On the negative side, the ref was determined to give us nothing in the First Half, and the VAR crew ensured that we were punished for our impudence in scoring twice. And the booking for Leif taking too long at
a throw in wasn't matched when Brentford took an age to go and get a towel, dry the ball meticulously, then start looking around for where to throw it. It's looking like the dice are heavily loaded against us.
