We faced a tough month or 2 before the Spuds game with disappointing performances against West Ham and Everton then a spate of dodgy decisions going against us. It could've been very easy for the heads to go down but the last 2 displays have been fantastic. I was starting to become a bit disillusioned with the Premier League and was almost starting to think being back in the Championship would be better than this league, for entertainment and neutrality reasons. These last 2 performances have been just as important to the fans as to the confidence of the players. We are starting to feel every bit a team that deserves to be here now rather than a team that had, perhaps, overachieved to get this far this soon and just seemingly being here to make up the numbers this season. The only thing I feel we need to do now to complete the transition to that true "Premier League status" is to start beating some of the teams in and around us, which the next block of games gives us that opportunity to do. Hopefully, these last 2 games really give the team, management and fans the confidence to push on to that next level. Bring it on! [Post edited 25 Nov 2024 10:16]
