Looking back it seems so too, but I always retained hope, but tonight after getting an equaliser just before half time, against a team on a really bad run and very average, we didn't even look like we could do anything.

Short corners, not getting the ball in the box, taking easy options, not taking a chance on something more attacking, giving the ball away easy, lack of confident defending at set pieces, balls into touch, misplaced passes galore. and slow, pedestrian and laboured.

We used to say the same about Southampton. But now it's us too.

It’s been an absolutely terrible season and it’s not finished yet . The dealings in the transfer market with the exception of Delap has been poor.
