90 days in Europe 12:08 - Apr 13 with 3419 views | ThisIsMyUsername | If you were going to spend 90 days in Europe while working remotely, where would you go? Let's just say that personal circumstances have recently taken a significant turn and I'm currently very free, as well as in a situation where the 12-month rental lease on my apartment runs out in a month. I've always wanted to spend some significant time living abroad, and I believe that 90 days would satisfy that. It's something I feel like I need to get out of my system, now being in my early 30s, before potentially deciding (and hoping to be content with) to settle down within the UK. Not sure whether to look to spend 90 days in one place or to experience several different places. However, I wish to feel like I 'lived' somewhere; 90 days is probably about right for that. Edit: I'd like to spend as little money as realistically possible (within reason). [Post edited 13 Apr 12:10]

90 days in Europe on 12:42 - Apr 13 with 2213 views | urbanpenguin | I travel a fair bit for work, so have an amount of European experience over the last few years. Generally, the further south the more affordable. If it's value-first, then Greece, Turkey, southern italy, and i am a huge fan of LIthuania - but generally, do not write off the eastern nations. If you want to be based in a place for access to other places, I think Northern Italy is the best because of train, bus and air networks. Avoid Milan, but Turin and Genoa are very affordable, and if more in the middle then I think there are fewer fun and affordable cities in central europe than Bologna.

90 days in Europe on 21:10 - Apr 13 with 2014 views | Daninthecampo | I have a few different friends who switch between Spain and Morocco so no need to worry about the 90 days! Whilst Spain is cheaper than the Uk its not particularly cheap, plenty of cheaper EU countries | | | | Login to get fewer ads
90 days in Europe on 21:16 - Apr 13 with 1993 views | BarcaBlue | Northern Spain, anywhere between La Coruña / Vigo and Cadaques / Port de la Selva. Loads of places other than those right along the north, Oviedo, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Santander, Jaca, Vielha.
90 days in Europe on 21:18 - Apr 13 with 1980 views | DJR | Valencia, Alicante and Malaga also spring to mind if you want to experience lively Spanish city life. The question arises as to where you plan to stay and how much you can afford.. Here's a link to a website with short term lets in Valencia but I can't vouch for it and know nothing about Spanish short term lets. https://www.idealista.com/en/alquiler-viviendas/valencia-valencia/con-alquiler-t [Post edited 14 Apr 9:00]

Albanians have a bad reputation around the world but they are very welcoming and I never felt unsafe there. Alternatively Vlore, if you want to be near the beach. [Post edited 14 Apr 7:58]

90 days in Europe on 08:00 - Apr 14 with 1503 views | _clive_baker_ | Horses for courses innit. Turkey is a good shout, especially if you want your money to go further. GBP is particularly strong against the Lira right now so living costs will be low. Only 2 hours ahead too, so you shouldn't find yourself working too late at night assuming your on GMT. For similar reasons I'd also consider South Africa. £ is very strong against the Rand, depending on where you stay the living costs can be very cheap, beautiful scenery, great food and wine. Incredible country and no significant time zone considerations if you're out there working. [Post edited 14 Apr 8:02]

90 days in Europe on 10:13 - Apr 14 with 1200 views | DJR | If you plan to work remotely, you also need to think about internet access. When I'm in Spain, I tap into my neighbour's Wi-fi because he gave me the password but Norton says the network security is weak, so I use Norton's VPN. Health cover is also an issue because most travel insurance policies only cover trips of 30 days maximum. A GHIC is essential but doesn't cover any costs that the local health system may charge.
