I’m confused as to how a team with this many goals in it (on paper) fails to create and therefore score the expected goals. It’s not even that we are being outplayed, we’re dominating possession and spend a lot of time camped in the opposition half but fail to have the craft to create the space or get in behind the opposition. There does seem to be a lack of urgency, and we are too often taking an extra touch, so a quick move breaks or slows down, one touch becomes two, two becomes three and the space is gone. I’m not going to panic though, and no point looking at the players who have moved on, without doubt I’m sure confidence is key element. | |
