He’s not a right winger. He’s ineffective in the position and it’s destroying his confidence.

But that one bad selection by McKenna completely hamstrung his substitute options for the final twenty minutes.

Had McKenna started Ogbene on the right he could have replaced him at half time with McAteer. Then Clarke could have replaced Jaden in the final twenty minutes. Instead, we replaced a tired Jaden with an already tired Szmodics.

Hirst was ineffective today but his race was run by the 70th minute. Akpom should have been a straight swap for him. Instead we just shuffled the same players into different positions.

Oh and I bumped into Mach at half time and we both said the same thing. It was like watching a Russell Martin team. All possession with no end product.
