I absolutely know this will be a hotly debated award, as men's goalkeeping is at such a higher standard than women's at the moment. I see that point, for sure.
However, the GK position in women's football is one of the notoriously least coached and invested positions over previous decades, and improvement in the last 5 years has been phenomenal. Women have to be coached completely differently to men due to physical attributes in correlation with the same goal size.
Add to that Hampton's visual impairment as she was growing up, I think she definitely deserves recognition. Well done, Hannah!
