Evening all,

My son started engraving when he was 16 and took the leap this year to start doing stalls, setting up his website, etsy etc and Phil has kindly allowed me to drop a mention of it on here, please don't worry, im not going to start spamming or anything, this post will be the only mention

Any feedback on the below would be great, as much as I want to help him, of course there are people out there with much much better knowledge of things, so any feedback appreciated although I will say be kind lol

Well done him. He’s not going to go hungry with a skill like that!

Awesome - good luck to your lad Frimmers. Hope it's a huge success.

Seeing a site like that makes me wish I wasn't such a hopeless talentless muppet.

Good luck to him. If you remember, can you please bump this thread when the personalised Christmas tree accessories are added? I think they may be popular for a number of reasons.

Hi J2, as long as Phil is happy for me to do so at the time, I will do, i'll double check with him prior, :)

I believe they should be going on in the next few weeks ( I got a bit carried away when creating the website)

The store looks great and 18 sales in 4 months is much better than me! I set up an etsy store selling framed poems (written by me) and have only sold two - one to a mate and the other to Lady Dollers!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Etsy I just can't understand. No idea how to crack it

We've got an app that goes with it to workout the ratings of the tags etc and the listing description qualities etc and they are all high yet getting views is painfully difficult let alone clicks.

There were once some poems by Dollers
Which were highly rated by scholars
They appealed to literary clans
But preferring only fans
They didn't sell well to blue collars

I did think that would be the case, maybe offer to supply them for sale in the club shop? I will of course claim my 10% commission if successful.

Have you read 'My Ode to Portman Road'?

The seagulls wheeled around the bins
Sir Alf atoned for venal sins
Like prayers unsaid for Ipswich wins
He too was God round here

The ground had changed since I was ten
No scoreboards lit with doffed-hat men
No cries for 'Gordon Goal', but then
I think I did mishear

No Mich D'Avray, no Eric Gates
No Donowa, no other greats
That graced the turf and graced the fates
Of my own childhood dear

And yes it was and yes they had
Oft been average or just bad
As there we sat, me and my dad
In Portman Terrace rear

My heroes didn't wear capes or tights
Or beat up baddies in fistfights
They played by day, and then some nights
We watched through joy and drear

And dad would say "They played quite well"
As we drove back on the A12
(He drove, of course, as you can tell,
And might have had a beer)

And now? Well it's all just too neat
Online vitriol at defeat
All ticket turnstiles, pies with meat
And childhood much less near

For every Nunez, every Clarke
I still dream Wark, Whelan and Mark
Brennan, all gracing the park
My Town weren't great, just mere
