We lack a real leader 07:40 - Oct 18 with 344 viewsonceablue

You have to have a leader which we really lack at the minute and it is affecting our performances especially away from home.

Your leader or captain should also be one of your best players.

O’Shea is certainly not one of our best players.

Morsy was a fantastic leader who demanded the best of his colleagues and certainly wasn’t backward in screaming at players when he thought they weren’t performing

Should we try and get Morsy back I don’t know difficult question?

Just to add to my original post

In the 2023/24 team we had other players you could consider leaders too as below

Chaplin
Burgess
Woolfie

Who would you consider are our leaders in the 25/26 team?

O'shea is certainly one of our best players and i also saw him last night even on the telebox having a go at some of his team mates.

There's two main things from last night

1 - how many of them out there were actually fit
2 - why did we never notice when we lost the ball in the attack that boro could counter.... it was almost like everytime it happened, it was the first time.

That's not on the skipper, that's on the bench

a niche perspective

O Shea is clearly one of our best players. He played very well last night I thought.

Let’s face it no one here knows what he is like as a captain, but from what you see from afar he looks excellent

The only Muff in Town.

O’Shea with the ball at his feet is not one of our best players.

I know that isn’t his role but if so why does he spend so much time on the ball?

I know if Morsy or O’Shea were screaming at me who I would listen to and respect more

Your last line is more out of your disrespect of Oshea imo, who ever the captain is, you respect, esp an experienced player like Oshea.

He spends so much time on the ball as it's a requirement of KM, always has been on our RCB and will continue to be. I keep reading that he's slow with the ball, yet people crave wolfy who did exactly the same thing. It's part and parcel of that RCB Role.

Oshea may not be a wolfy and play simple passes to midfield to create a high pass completion rate, but he puts in some lovely balls down the sides, and over the top for our forward line, he also find philogene and davis too.

There are many things wrong with us away from home at the moment, but Oshea isnt one of them

Burgess is very quiet on and off the pitch.

And Wolf was in no way a leader.

Chaplin is missed though.
