An impressive performance. Agreed.

A few years back she was the main act at a horrible corporate event that I was obliged to attend. The whole thing, including the chat between songs was rehearsed right down to the last ‘thank you’ and we were reminded that we were an ‘amazing audience’ with nauseating frequency. It lacked any soul or spontaneity whatsoever and was designed to engineer an emotional rollercoaster. To be fair, most of my colleagues loved it.

I was certainly close to tears by the end though. I had to run to the bar.

The following night I saw The Specials in the ruins of Coventry Cathedral which was awesome!
