I was going to watch just the first half. 01:15 - Jul 4 with 865 viewsTheBoyBlue

Argentina 3-0 up thanks to some Messi magic and go to bed.

Still up and still absorbed. Even at 2-1 I wouldn't put it past Cape Verde to get another!

Every time Argentina score they look completely terrified.

Fair play to Cape Verde, hell of an effort.

That was some effort by Cabo Verde. Argentina just about had enough to win but they were put to the pin of their collar. The world champions were hanging on at the end! Well done to Pico and the lads.

I’ve watched a bit of CV and fancied them to have a go at this World Cup.

They’ve been sensational though, didn’t think they’d compete on that level. People will remember this team for decades.

Trailing vapour since 1999.

I watched them beat Cameroon 1-0 at home in a very hard fought game, and I ended up watching them beat Eswatini 3-0 to qualify for the World Cup.

They should have qualified against Libya; they were 3-1 down, came back for 3-3, and in the final minute of the game, they scored, but just before they scored, the linesman incorrectly flagged for offside.

I've known how good they were for several months now. I had them as one of the best 3rd place teams. They ended up finishing one place better. Great effort. Technically unbeaten in the traditional 90 minutes of normal time the whole tournament as well.

I am confident that they can qualify for the 2030 world cup if they are not handed a top African team in the same group, and I mean that.
