Final thing before bed. 01:00 - Aug 23 with 983 viewsCheltenham_Blue

7 hours in the car today and knackered.

As a crowd we were outstanding today. Exceptionally long Blue and White Army. The Emersonn chat.
And It’s Ipswich Town, Ipswich Town FC.

The difference when the Cobbold and West stands join in is amazing.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard Portman Road like that after the second goal. I sit in the middle tier of the West Stand near the tunnel and loads of people were singing and shouting and as you say it went all the way around the ground. Was most impressive.

That's heartening to hear that the Pioneer (and, hopefully, Churchman's ) are now becoming vocally passionate (I am in Section A of the Cobbold, so can't hear anything more that own relentless singing/chanting and that of the Lower North).

Keep it up, everyone! COYB

I thought the noise even went up a level from the QPR game. But actually the best part for me was the noise after they equalised, easy for fans to go into their shell especially after our last PL season, but nope fans around the ground kept the noise up.

Agree about the crowd response after the goal - something which became noticeable last season too. A touch of 'running towards adversity' permeating into the fans?
