| English Players 10:58 - Aug 28 with 842 views | Butterbing | Just looking at the nationalities of the squad. We currently have only ten English players (Button, Walton, Palmer, Davis, Greaves, Furlong, Humphreys, Clarke, Philogene and Akpom). I wonder how many there will be come the end of the window. This must be the most international our squad has ever been? Does this matter to anybody? Personally if we stay up I will not give a monkeys. | | | | |

Lots of Welsh, Irish, Scottish, some Canadian & Auz/NZ. Even those that were notionally from further away grew up in the UK (Morsy, Axel, Sarmiento, AAH, Aluko).

I’ve had a quick calculation based on the first team players listed on Wikipedia (so by no means definitive). The average appears to be just over 8. I suspect that is where we will end up.
