Kelly Cates, great host; the three legs of Premier League success 22:58 - Aug 29 with 685 viewsunstableblue

Kelly Cates guiding the post match analysis of the Spurs v Newcastle game was really insightful. Far better than Lineker for me.

And the game made me think of those three key success factors of a Premier League team:

1) System, identity and tactical implementation
2) Technical player quality
3) Confidence, energy, belief (often driven by supporters)

That new Newcastle manager showed today that sometimes 1) can trump 2).

Spurs have spent a fortune and have such quality in players now, but the new Newcastle chief has drilled in a system very quickly (versus the spurs boss) that made them eventual winners and more effective.

Town have some 3) and with Pallacios and Enciso 2), can GON get 1) right tomorrow.

Let’s frickin hope so! I BELIEVE!!
