![]() Monday, 30th Oct 2006 20:36 TWTD understands that striker Dean Bowditch is set for a loan spell with Brighton and Hove Albion. Meanwhile, the Blues have confirmed that summer signing Martin Brittain will join Yeovil Town for a month. Bowditch is currently behind Billy Clarke and Danny Haynes in the Portman Road pecking order having started the season in Jim Magilton's side. The 20-year-old, contracted to the Blues until 2008, has previously had loan spells at Burnley and Wycombe. Brittain joined the Blues on a free transfer from Newcastle in the summer, but his only first team appearance so far was as a sub in the Carling Cup tie at Peterborough. Boss Jim Magilton told the club site that the loan spell will give the winger experience: "We have agreed to let Martin go to Yeovil for a month and I think it will be a good opportunity for him. "Martin has done really well since he came here, but unfortunately for him circumstances have dictated that he has not had a chance in the first team. "Going to Yeovil will give him a run of league games and it will get him up to a competitive level so that when he comes back to us, he's at the stage where he can really push for a place in the side here." Brittain will link up with former Blue Marcus Stewart at Huish Park.
