The Waiting List is there to gauge whether there is a real need for an expansion of the North Stand as well as getting an early indication of the numbers of people who will be after season tickets for next season. Chairman David Sheepshanks said of the response: "I hope all supporters who wish to gain a season ticket will take this opportunity to apply quickly and obtain an advanced position on the Waiting List. The initial response has been good but while it is impossible to predict numbers at this stage I think it will be worthwhile for all those interested to apply as soon as possible." Ticket Office Manager Bill Leggate added: "We are very pleased with the response to the Waiting List so far which clearly indicates the huge demand by supporters to be part of Ipswich Town's success."
