Marcus Stewart is being kept waiting for the verdict on his red card against Leeds. The FA say that he should hear whether the card for the foul on Ian Harte is rescinded by the end of the week.

Jim Magilton has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad playing Norway in a friendly at Windsor Park. Matt Holland has already been called up for the Ireland squad who play Denmark on February 28th.

Town's Youths will face Nottingham Forest in the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup. The Forest youngsters beat their Manchester United counterparts 2-1 in extra-time after scoring a late penalty.

The other quarter-finals are Liverpool v Wimbledon, Coventry v Blackburn and Oldham or Arsenal v Aston Villa. Ties will be played between March 17th and April 7th. Town will be at home.

George Burley has confirmed yesterday's story linking Town with a bid to take Falkirk kid Mark Kerr on loan. Falkirk manager Alex Totten was talking about the level of interest in the youngster and mentioned the link with Town as well as West Ham.

The Town manager said: "We asked about Kerr a couple of months ago but were told he could not come on trial. He's a boy we looked at. It's one of those things that the level at which he is playing means that we are not quite sure just what he can do."
