Town's U18s recorded a 2-1 victory over bottom-of-the-table Fulham at Playford Road on Saturday morning. Town's goals were scored by Kieran Leabon and Jai Reason.

Leabon's fine shot from outside the area gave Town the lead in the 25th minute. The striker was immediately replaced by Jack Ainsley after picking up an injury.

Fulham equalised on the hour after a misplaced pass from sub Ainsley sent a Cottagers' striker through with a clear run on goal and he finished well past Plummer.

U16s striker Craig Calver made his U18s bow at half-time for Nathan Tooms who had also picked up a knock.

With 70 minutes gone, Town got the winning goal, midfielder Jai Reason converting a penalty after a trip on Ainsley.

Five minutes from the end, Reason missed a second spotkick after a foul on full-back Curtley Williams.

The U18s were without midfielder Ian Nimmo and defender Russell Short through injury but both are expected to be fit in time for the FA Youth Cup third round tie at Yeovil's Huish Park on Tuesday (KO 7.30pm).

Town's U16 side also recorded a victory over their London counterparts, winning 1-0 with a goal from Irish striker Paul Murphy. With 20 minutes remaining Murphy took over in goal after keeper Nick Pope had been clattered.

Town U18s: Plummer, Webster, Robinson, Fenn, Smith, Williams, Upson, Reason, Rhodes, Leabon (Ainsley 25) and Tooms (Calver 46). Unused: Clemo and Hyam.
